Once the modem has rebooted (wait 2 minutes) then use this link to access the firmware update page.(

Browse to and select the the firmware named "
2wire_reinstall_voice_5.29.117.3.2sp" (

Once you have input the path to the firmware,

UPGRADE NOW" (

IT IS ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL THAT YOU DO NOT STOP THE UPGRADE OR YOU WILL BRICK THE MODEMYou should now see the following screen shots as it upgrades.

BE PATIENT IT CAN TAKE A LONG TIME TO FLASH THE FIRMWARE !!!!!Once finished you will get a confirmation page that looks like

You will also notice that there is a section for "
Voice Settings"
This is normal to see even though your unit may not actually have a VOIP port on the modem itself.
At this point its always good practice to clear the modem once again using the reset button at the rear and then proceed to set up your internet connection, admin passwords, port forwarding and wireless as required.
